“Matthew 10:7-8 As you go, preach this message: “The Kingdom of heaven is near”. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
Paul and I wanted to give all of you an update on what we at The Salvage Yard (TSY) have been up to. OR should I say what the Lord has been up to through us.
Just a recap of what we are involved in at the TSY to date. I continue to do one on one counseling/mentoring with my mentorees through Skype and in-person appointments. Paul and I go into the Fauquier County Jail in Warrenton Virginia on Sunday nights bringing Celebrate Recovery, a Christian 12 step program, to the men and women inmates. On Friday evenings I go into the same jail to counsel/mentor the women one on one. Where I share Christ as Life and walk them through Forgiveness and Healing Prayer. I have seen MANY miracles right in front of my eyes-, bodies, minds and emotions being healed. Also, to date four women inmates have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior on Friday evenings.
We also have what we like to call our “Street Ministry” where Paul and I in our everyday life as we interact with people out and about, praying over and for people and their needs. Paul has made a commitment to share Jesus with everyone who walks through our physical location of TSY which is located in Shenandoah County. He is at that location 6 days a week. And he has led at least five people to date to a personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior. I have coined these encounters with Jesus “Papa Kisses”. Boy oh Boy, Papa Kisses all over the place!
Here are two testimonies from inmates and their experience with TSY at the jail.
“TSY is helping me understand God better. I am building a personal relationship with Him that I have never known before. I have been able to realize lies that I believe that have held me back. God has used TSY to show me how to break them.” Frankie
“I look forward to TSY coming to the jail on Friday nights. The last 4 months of my incarceration have been an actual “blessing” because of this ministry. I walking through some of my most deep-rooted issues, leaving me freer at the end of every session. I am truly grateful for the way God has moved me in the path of TSY in order to help heal me.” A. Shantah
