Daniel 12:3 “And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above, and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever”

One of my new favorite things to do, is to go outside on a clear night and star gaze.  I talk with the team (this is what I call The Trinity) tell them my thoughts, praise and pray.  On one occasion, while talking with them I witness 3 shooting stars.  I love those Papa Kisses.

I have become fascinated with the “vastness” of the night sky.  There are lessons for me in those moments with them.  Stars naturally shine, they don’t “try” to shine they just do and when they do, they give light without trying.  They light the way and dispel the darkness, some are brighter than others.  There are small ones and larger ones.  They also entertain, there is the little and big dipper just to name a few.  Some twinkle and others shoot across the sky.

In my favorite devotional “The Book of Mysteries” the author talks about stars.  I quote “Look at the stars, they just shine.  And do you know how they shine?  They burn, they expend themselves as does a candle.  They give up….and, by that, they shine.  So, their shining is an act of sacrifice.  They must sacrifice themselves to shine, to become stars.  Learn from the stars, if you live to keep your life, then you will dwell in darkness.  But if you live to give your life, your life will shine just like a star IN the darkness”.

We can learn great spiritual lessons from Papa’s creation.  I challenge you to stop and take notice of these gifts from our creator.  Get up a little earlier and watch the sunrise, go somewhere and watch the sunset, take note of the bird’s melodies in the early morning hours or the plethora of dear that are out right now.  Don’t just find them annoying that they ran out in front of your car on the back road.  Maybe He wanted you to take notice of one of His beautiful creations.

As we near the end of one year and get ready for a new year with new mercies, lets choose to see our circumstances and people from His perspective.  His perspective is vast, it is good and it is not the same as ours. He is for us and not against us.  Choose to live this day as a heavenly light.  Live as a living sacrifice, as a gift given for a purpose.  And shine, shine, shine.
